<\/figure><\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal(RMRJ) of the University of San Jose-Recoletos has been accepted for indexing by Scopus. The indexing entity, which is the largest and one of the two most widely-used citation databases in the world, is also the most respected platform for analysing peer-reviewed literature. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
RMRJ has gotten the approval for quality research articles\r\nby the Scopus Title Evaluation Team. The editorial team of the said journal\r\nreceived the formal correspondence from the Scopus Content Selection &\r\nAdvisory Board (CSAB) approving RMRJ’s inclusion in Scopus on August 28 this\r\nyear which coincided with the feast day of St. Augustine, the saint that\r\ninspires the way of life of the Order of Augustinian Recollects\u2019 who founded\r\nthe University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Over the years, the University of San Jose – Recoletos has\r\ntaken pivotal steps and invested in intensifying its pursuit to be at the\r\nforefront of Catholic education in the field of research. In 2013, USJ-R, through the Center for\r\nPolicy, Research and Development Studies then led by Dr. Juanito B. Alino, gave\r\nbirth to the Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal (RMRJ) with a vision\r\nto emerge as an autonomous and leading force in multidisciplinary research. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
The mentorship of the late Dr. Roberto N. Padua and the succession\r\nof Dr. Agnes C. Sequino as the head of CPRDS were instrumental in the building\r\nof research culture in the university and ensuring the sustainability of\r\nresearch production and utilization. Currently, with 19 volumes of published\r\nissues, RMRJ dedicates itself towards the promotion of knowledge through\r\nhigh-quality research publications in various disciplines. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Since its inception, RMRJ has achieved major feats through\r\nthe years. In 2013, in its maiden publication, it affirmed USJR\u2019s research\r\nuniversity direction and contributed to maintaining the USJR\u2019s autonomous\r\nstatus until now. At first, it achieved category B status in its maiden issue\r\nand not long after was recognized by CHED as a Category A Journal in August\r\n2014 on its 2nd publication. The journal was indexed in Google Scholar and was\r\nawarded as CHED Journal Incubation Program (JIP) grantee in August 2017 and\r\nthree months after, RMRJ was inducted into the ASEAN Citation Index in November\r\n2017. Further, it was indexed in CROSSREF and in Philippine E-Journals (PEJ) in\r\n2018. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In 2020, its health-related papers were adapted and migrated\r\nto HERDIN PLUS. RMRJ became part of the Directory of Open Access Journals\r\n(DOAJ) and the Visayas Mindanao Consortium for Journal Publication Inc.\r\n(VMCJPI) in 2021 and was added to the Andrew Gonzalez Philippines Citation\r\nIndex in 2022. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In research publication, the indexation of a journal is\r\nviewed as the best indicator of its quality.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
At present, there are only 24 journals in the Philippines\r\nthat are indexed in Scopus. RMRJ is the lone Scopus-indexed journal in the\r\nVisayas and one of the only two journals outside Luzon. \r\n\r\nAbove all, USJR joins UP System, ADMU, DLSU\r\nManila, UST, and USTP as the only Philippine-based universities that have\r\nScopus-indexed journals.\r\n<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
